Days 9

21th March, Monday, Vernal Equinox holiday, a rainy day.

In the morning, I found something under the frame of the window. That was my cat's vomit.

My cat, Penko, he never vomit what he had eaten. We were so surprised to see that. And then, she kept licking her butt to tail on and on. It seemed so curious.

We talked over that and decided to take her to the hospital.

The doctor said "She suffers diarrhea." We said we didn't think of any cause for that. He did a drip infusion and one injection, also gave us some binding medecines. And said "You never give her water and food until this evening."

He is a very reliable person and we have been admiring him. He never lie and never give warm words so much. He looks like a Japanese professional wrestler named Hiroyoshi Tenzan. But we love him.

The medical examination for Penko was over. We got a relief.

He said that many pets got suffered mental illness after the earthquake.

Pets don't see TV or internet. But they feel the earth move much directly than us. Also, maybe they notice these moods of human being in this unstable world.

After this unexpected payment, my wallet went almost empty. Worst of all, my main bank had stopped these days because of the system breakdown.

I wish I ccould be that concert at night but I coudn't afford to it. Because that was a charity event but I had no money! Even I couldn't afford to ride trains!

Penko got back healthy. She ate foods up and ran around.

3月21日、月曜日、祝日、雨。

朝、
机のそばの窓の桟（さん）に
ネコエサが吐かれているのを発見。

ペンコが家に来てから
食べたものをこれほど大量に戻したのは
はじめてだ。

さらに
お尻のあたりをしつようなほどぺろぺろと
ひっきりなしになめている。

これはきっとなにか病気だ。
ツマと相談し
かかりつけの獣医さんまで連れて行った。

診断は「下痢」。
とくに理由は思い当たらないと答えると
とりあえず点滴と注射をしてくれた。
薬は毎日2回。
念のため、夕方まで水や食事は控えるように。

てきぱきとしていて
よけいな私情をめったにはさまない
プロレスラーの天山広吉にも（かつては）似ていた
非常に信頼のおける獣医さん。

とりあえず
おおごとではないということで安心した。

その会話のなかで
震災以降、
不安が高ぶって
体調を崩している犬や猫が多いというケースを聞いた。

ペットたちは
テレビもネットも見ない。
でも
情報はわからなくても
地面の揺れの度合いは人間よりもはるかに大きく感じるし、
世の中の動揺を肌で感じているという点では
人間と変わりがないのだ。

診察料を払うと
思いがけない出費で財布がからっぽに。
ぼくのメインバンクは
システムトラブルで
ここ数日はお金の引き出しができない。

本当は
夜、ここにいくつもりだったのだが
あきらめることにした。

チャリティ募金する資金が
底をついてしまったからだった。
そのかわり
夜にはペンコはすっかり元気になっていた。
